• We heard author Kassia St. Clair's interview on NPR's Marketplace, missed both her and he book's title first time around, but it immediately seemed like something we would want to READ rather than listen to. When will a print version be available in the USA. If the author on a book tour, shouldn't THE GOLDEN THREAD HOW FABRIC CHANGED HISTORY be available at the same time?
• Lot drier reading than I had expected and rather too “academic” than I was anticipating having heard a chapter read on the BBC. This book is more of a textile textbook for students than an interesting history.
• I bought the book since it was recommended by The Economist, but unfortunately the book is quite boring.
• I listened to the author and it sounded very interesting. My son is in the cotton business and I gave it to him for a gift.
• Great book, highly recommended. It covers everything from linen in ancient Egypt to the challenges of creating an astronaut's suit.
• The book provides a rich collection of fabric history stories. The older fabrics such as silk and cotton are probably better known in general than facts related with the synthetics, the factories and the workers. Highly recommended !!
• The author was able to present both quality and quantity of fiber information. She spent a lot of time with anthropological and social history of fibers - especially plant fibers.
• Daughter loves this book

• I got this study guide for my sister who os in training for being a nurse and she absolutely loves this! She tells me it has helped her out so much. It has so much knowledge! Definitely worth it.
• I love this up-to-date study guide. It highlights different forms of communications and their uses. I enjoyed reading about the safety and comfort of my patients. It included the needs of patients with and without physical needs. The CNA practice test questions were easy to understand and helpful. I highly recommend buying even if you just want to skim the information before the day of the exam. The answer key to the practice test not only gives you the correct answer but a short paragraph explaining why it is correct.
• This study guide offers a lot of essential information that helps to prepare for taking the test. It offers support on not only the material needed but also how to take this type of test and strategies to being successful. I recommend this study guide to anyone who is looking for an easy to use and informative resource.
• I found this guide very useful as a student in the medical field. Although I am not studying to be a CNA some if not all of the material was practically the same stuff all EMTs, LPNs and RNs need to know; so this was a great study guide and its a good book to have on your bookshelf for reference purposes. I recommend this book whether you are a CNA or not.
• This book is not a practice question book. There are some practice questions in the back, but this is more a focus on basic tips on the role of the CNA and scope of practice. It also has great test taking tips.
• I'm currently a student nurse and looking through the book there were definitely key points to Fundamentals of Nursing! Hand washing and PPE were even included which I believe are very important in health care. This book has most of the basics down and even includes a quiz at the end. Nicely put together.
• This is descriptive and easy to follow without getting overwhelmed! It’s reader friendly and a super helpful guide!
• Daughter is currently using it to help her get through her CNA classes. With no medical background she is doing well.
