"This was my first book by Leddy Harper and not my last. Her and my sense of humor are def riding the same wave 😉 Though I’ve to admit I thought this book was leaning more towards RomCom; it deals with some heavy issues – be warned.
"Once upon a time, I was a funny guy. Apparently, having a front-row seat to your wife’s infidelity kills any chance of humor in your life."
I LOVED Cash. He was a walking, wet dream come true. Not only is he 100% male – tall, inked, blessed with gorgeous Italian genes, and good in the sack, he also loves another man’s child as if it’s his own. I had a hard time to calm my ovaries down lol! Seriously, he’s perfect . . . even with his teeny tiny secret.
Jade is currently living with her toddler in her BFF and boyfriend’s apartment, sleeping on the couch while struggling to get back on her feet; or in general, get a hold on her life. The apartment and the tension get a bit too much and Jade decides to respond to a roommate ad, thinking there’s no harm done checking what’s out there. It’s not like she’d ever move in with a total stranger. That she’d never expose her child to a stranger. Or better, ever fall for said stranger.
No Sex
No Dating
No Falling in Love
Yeah, the theory sounded good but let’s be honest, how can anyone resist a six-foot-three hot as hell man? Exactly, you can’t, or only for so long.
The last three and a half months had been a lie. A facade. An illusion masking the reality. And with one kiss, Cash managed to clear away the smokescreen.
I enjoyed how Jade and Cash slowly got to know each other, testing their limits, and feeling each other up. All while keeping certain parts hidden; parts that soon threaten to crumble their newfound love.
Leddy did a great job showcasing Jade’s internal struggle, separating her past (experience and fears) with the present while trying to not lose Cash completely. And him, he couldn’t have been a better, in the beginning, roommate, friend, shoulder to lean on to, and then eventually lover.
“I have to tell you something Jade.†His voice was heavy, full of grit, . . .
“I broke a rule . . . one fo yours.†“Which one?†My fear increased with each second that ticked by. His eyes never left my lips when he uttered, “I fell in love.â€
So now you probably ask, why the 3.5-star rating only? I had some issues with Jade. I get where’s she coming from but a lot of times she got on my last freaking nerve. I rolled my eyes too often and I wanted to shake some sense into her. Needless to say, she annoyed me a bit too much and too many occasions. I’m harsh on female characters, I admit I expect a lot . . . so you probably like her more 😉 Also, some parts/characters of the book got a bit too much attention and distracted from what was going on with her and Cash – it through of the flow of the novel in my opinion.
I’m looking forward to reading more from this authors and yes, The Roommate ‘dis’Agreement ends with a sweet HEA!!"

I’m looking forward to reading more from this authors and yes, The Roommate ‘dis’Agreement ends with a sweet HEA!! - LOVED IT! Starting with the best, Cassius, hot, sexy with a huge tattoo on his back, a real man but still so amazing with the little toddler who is not even his. Building an immediate bond with this cute little girl. Swoon. But he also have a dark secret.
Jade, a troubled single mom with a horrible past behind her. She loved her baby girl Aria more than anything. But her past came back and in an awful twist the bad guy was revealed.
I loved the way Cass and Jade kept changing the roommate agreement as their relationship changed from roommates to more than roommates. I also loved that there wasn’t immediately lust, they didn’t fall into bed right away and then had to fight the attraction and lust before realising there was something more, they became roommates, friends and then realised their feelings before having sex.
This is the kind of book I love, where I feel the characters emotions and get wrapped up in their world. Ending with a new agreement was just perfect. - ★¸¸.•*¨*•★Minor spoilers alert★•*¨*•.¸¸★

Overall ★★★☆☆ because this one was definitely worth a listen if you enjoy a slightly heavier roommates falling in love story!
Story ★★☆☆☆ because it was okay but just not really my cup of tea in the end. I’m a sucker for the roommates falling in love trope, and I was super intrigued by the premise. The story has heavier elements than I anticipated, and they didn’t come together as well as I’d hoped with the aspects I enjoy most about the falling in love with your roommate trope.
Overall, there wasn’t any one thing wrong. But for me, when all the elements of their story were combined, there was no real magic. Also, I was bummed to be correct about who abused Jade and who the father of her child was. - Wow, this was not as advertised but sooo much better. These are two folks with issues. Serious ones. Yet they worked through them. The dialogue was funny, and touching. I liked how the backgrounds were revealed not as a prologue but as the story progressed. I have not read this author before. But will follow her now!
- Having never read a book by Leddy Harper, I had no idea what I was in for. The Roomate Dis' Agreement was a fantastic read. It hooked me from the start and did not let go. It made me feel every emotion imaginable and had many twists and turns that kept me burning through the pages. I do not want to say much about the plot itself because I think you should experience this incredible read for yourself. It is a fun read, mixed with deep storylines and even a bit of suspense as to what decisions the characters will make. I love that it all revolves around an agreement between two roommates, each time the terms of agreements were hashed out, I could not help but smile.
This will definitely not be the last I read from Leddy Harper. - I did listen 2 this ... on Audible ...so so funny ... great idea ... trying to think of a great description of this read ... u look at the cover, i love the cover ...but it gives u a certain idea of what the read will be like ... for me the read is deeper ... well thought out ...the characters really get into these deep direct honest conversations. like have I read a book like this in a long time? such a genuine honorable relationship, friendship? maybe the narrators way of speaking (Athena Pappas Aaron Sinn) ... just make it set right, or u get a better perspective if the whole story???! AWESOME!! well said, well stated. can't wait to read more from Leddy very very soon. ( ;
